Before I started at No Limit I didn’t work out that much. I use to go and walk around the park, or I would go to the gym but I didn’t have any idea of what I was doing. When, I was at the gym I always did the same thing: warm-up on the treadmill, and then look at the other girls around and use the same machines and did an exercise that they were doing. In addition, I believe I was working out probably twice a month. I was never an active person.
As a child, I can recall that sports or fitness were not my thing! I remember when I was in grade school, I attempted to play basketball and volleyball and I did it just because I had too. Honestly, I never felt inspired to workout because I never felt the need to.
I started attending bootcamp because of my husband; my husband was attending bootcamps regularly (at a different location) and working out with the owner. I was really moved by all of these great stories he was sharing. When I met owner, I was so impressed. She looked so young and she had so much energy for her age and that’s what I wanted. That’s when I decided that we were going to bootcamp together. I recall a brief conversation I had with her and bringing up the fact that her facility was very far. I will never forget what she told me: “You should go and check out Groupon and you must find a bootcamp close to your home so you won’t have any excuses to take the class and you need to do it by next week,” and that’s what I did. & that’s how I found “No Limit.” Plus there was a great promo going on so I didn’t think twice and purchased it.

On my first day, during the warm up, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I think I had to stop about 20 times during the first class because I couldn’t take it. I was so out of shape and I really didn’t realize it until that very moment.
“My first week was terrible because every single part of my body was so sore. I felt pain in muscles that I didn’t even know existed. I can recall I even asked the trainer (Toni) at the time, what can I do and his answer was, “Just rest but do not stop taking the class!””
During the few first months I could barely run to the wall or even run the building lap. It took me around 3 months to truly feel acclimated and get comfortable doing an entire class. However, during those 3 months my Groupon expired and I was in love with No Limit Bootcamp. So I decided to join and be part of the No Limit Family.
For anyone new and interested, my best take aways are: that the environment is awesome; the trainers and coaches genuinely care about you as they always check on your form, execution of the exercise, and progress. They always give you tips, and are honest (sometimes on things you don’t want to address) and I loved that! The work outs are always different and every trainer and coach has their own style which makes each experience unique and different every time. You will never regret a workout here. Sometimes I have those days where I regret leaving my house or I feel that my work out will be sub-par today but when the coach is yelling my name you, I know I am always wrong, and after the class I know that it was worth it 100%.
I work sitting in an office approximately 50 hours per week and I knew that it was affecting me. I started gaining weight. I couldn’t fit the clothes that I use to wear anymore. I also had many problems with my digestive system and as a result I think these factors were contributing to my lack of energy. By 2pm every work day I was done! I needed something extra to be able to finish my day, either: coffee, energy teas, energy bars but after 3 years I feel completely different.

In the beginning I did set up small goals for me: I started with 5 pounds; I currently focusing on losing 15 to 20 pounds. I could barely run to the wall; now I can do a building lap in a good pace. I couldn’t do a jump box; now I can. I use to use yellow ankle band; now I’ve graduated to the blue band. What I’m trying to say is that 3 years ago if someone told me that I was going to be able to do all these things I can do now, I would have told that person that she/he was crazy, but because I have all the No Limit Family supporting me. I have been able to accomplish all these great things and for that I feel very grateful for each trainer, coach and workout friend.
I have had many results but the main ones that really stand out to me are:
- I don’t have any more problems with my digestive system. It is not only about working out but also how to eat properly; both things combined helped me and I don’t get sick anymore!
- I have energy “ALL DAY”. I am still working, sitting 50 hours per week but I have so much energy during the day that I don’t need the extra stuff anymore (coffee…etc) to finish my day.
- I love to work out. I never thought I would say that but this all has completely changed my point of view about fitness in general.
- I also lost 15 pounds and I went down from size 9 (almost 10) to size 6 and I can wear back all my old clothes.
