I started with No Limit in late 2013. It was almost 2 years after having my son and I did not feel as fit as I did before I got pregnant. My sister was a member and asked me to join on Thanksgiving Day during the Toys for Tots workout. She had asked me to check it out more than once before and also suggested I do the 14-day free trial but I was hesitant (looking back now, I have no idea why!). That Thanksgiving day when I walked in, right away I felt a sense of “family.” I thought it was amazing the owner was organizing and orchestrating toys for kids for the holiday! That really pulled at my heartstrings. After the workout I decided to go ahead and do the trial along with purchasing the Groupon that was going on at the time…the rest is history
I was always active growing up by ways of recreational softball and soccer all the way through high school and hitting
up 24 Hour Fitness randomly when friends or family would ask me to join them.
I recently looked back at pictures from high school and I realized that I’m smaller and in better shape now than 20+ years ago! That blew my mind as I thought I was in really good shape back then.
Although I had been going to NL for a few years now, I knew my food intake needed some fine-tuning. Starting the whole flexible dieting and “macros” thing was foreign to me but I got the hang of it and once I started talking to other NL team members about it, they were all so helpful in offering their advice and support as well. I know I couldn’t have done this well with my lifestyle change without all of them! Now when I look at myself, I don’t think I’ve ever been this small and fit in my life! When I got down to 111 pounds 5 years ago, I can tell now, I was just “skinny fat”. My legs have never been so lean. My hourglass figure I had before my son is back and WAY better than before. And while my arms aren’t where I’d like them to be, they’re SO much better than they were and I don’t feel uncomfortable wearing tank tops anymore. I’m one to say “I’m always a work in progress” so I’m good with where I’m at now knowing I can only get better.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this small and fit in my life!
This is the first gym I’ve ever belonged to where I didn’t feel pressured by trainers trying to push their product or services on me…I didn’t feel uncomfortable by inappropriate behaviors or stares…and felt a sense of unity amongst those I worked out with. I used to work out in the afternoons but over the last two years have switched over to early morning workouts. Both groups have amazing energy with awesome people and great trainers and I’m so thankful I was able to find the camaraderie with both workout times I’ve attended. When I say “the trainers here are AMAZING” – I’M NOT LYING!
I love that no two workouts are the same, and also, love the attention that each trainer gives everybody throughout their time there to ensure they’redoing things right, answer any questions they might have, and make them feel welcome.

I never imagined I’d enjoy waking up at 5 am, especially to workout, but it’s now the highlight of my day and sets the tone for feeling great and being productive all day long. I’ve also made friendships here that I know will last a lifetime and that makes me stoked as well. I can’t express how much I love No Limit, their staff, their culture, and their purpose!
