I’m not sure what came first, me learning to walk or me playing soccer. For as long as I can remember soccer has been a huge part of my life and the love I have for the game only seems to grow over time.

In my sophomore year of high school, in one of the first scrimmages of the year, I was tackled wrong and injured my knee. I would soon learn that I tore my ACL which would require reconstructive surgery and physical therapy. Physical therapy was a very difficult process both mentally and physically, but that is where I first met Jeff, and he played a big role in my road to recovery. After nine months, I took the field and began playing the sport I love. Fast forward a couple of years and senior year was soon approaching, which also meant college, college, and college.
“Being a student athlete was always something I loved and I knew playing in college would be an ultimate dream come true.”
Being a student athlete was always something I loved and I knew playing in college would be an ultimate dream come true. Schools came calling and I committed to play Division 1 soccer for Cal State University Bakersfield. As high school soccer was soon approaching I was beyond excited as I had just been named captain and it was said to be a big year for my school. However, in just the second scrimmage into the year and I injured the same knee again. I was informed that I had severely torn my meniscus and would need a second surgery and more physical therapy. I knew I needed to get stronger to prevent yet another injury, but finding a trainer or coach that knew my circumstances and that I could trust wouldn’t be easy.
That’s where No Limit and Jeff came in and truly changed my life! After just my first session, I instantly knew this was the place that would get me better in every aspect. I trained 2-3 times per week for 4 months, and every single session I was challenged and pushed. After every workout I knew I was getting stronger! Not only could I FEEL results but I could SEE them as well! No Limit and their trainers always created an environment that made me WANT to work hard and constantly challenge myself.

Without No Limit, I wouldn’t be where I am today – they have truly given me back the ability to play the sport I love. My experience with injuries, physical therapy, and strength and conditioning has also inspired me to major in kinesiology and pursue a career in physical therapy. Jeff, Sako, and the trainers at No Limit have allowed my setback to be a setup for a comeback!
