Working no less than 10 hours a day, raising a little girl, battling to save his family. Most people would break, make excuses why they can’t do it and feel sorry for themselves and how their life is so hard. Not Josh, he faced the adversity, no matter how long the day was, how much he had to deal with he still found a way to make it happen. I knew he was serious when after boot camp one day he comes up to me and says “I have the babysitter for 20 more minutes, give me a workout that’s going to kill me”. Just about ready to fall over after the workout, he says “Thank you, I’ll see you tomorrow”. He was determined, he has a WHY! I knew with his why, nothing would stop him. He dropped 40 pounds in just around 3 months!
Here’s Josh sharing his story. Proud of you Josh, you’ve got a huge heart man!
4 years ago I was hitting the gym every day with my friend and we were in the best shape of our lives. But as life happens, things change and hitting the gym consistently became a problem. In June of 2010 I met the girl who would become my fiancé and mother of my amazing little girl. During that time frame I stopped going to the gym and began eating like a pregnant person. In the end I ultimately put on as much weight as my fiancé did during the pregnancy. I attempted getting back to the gym, eating healthy, running, skating, starving myself, etc.. Nothing seemed to help me lose more than 5 or 10 pounds and then I would not have time to work out for a week and all the weight would comeback.
“All I knew is that I needed to give 100% to attempt to keep my family together and whether it worked or not I needed to know I never gave up”
In October of 2013 my self esteem was at an all time low. I was separated from my daughters mom, There wasn’t a smile and hug waiting for me everyday when I came home from work, money was tight, and finding even a glimpse of hope was near impossible. Although I was separated from this amazing woman, we were still working on things and the possibility of being a family was hanging around by a string. I wasn’t physically attractive anymore, I had no drive, and felt like I lost everything. All I knew is that I needed to give 100% to attempt to keep my family together and whether it worked or not I needed to know I never gave up. The crazy thing is that when your used to weighing 195 and then you weigh 235 you don’t exactly have the stamina to do a whole lot and when your used to eating what you want, when you want its hard to stop. But when you go to play with your daughter and you cant keep up with her for more than a minute or two it is pretty much earth shattering!
I started looking in to personal training, boot camps at the gym, cycle classes, crazy diets, and started emailing and facebooking different clubs and people to see if anyone could help me. I looked at pictures of gyms, the people that were there and result stories. I started messaging No Limit Personal Training early in February but was kind of dragging my feet. February 14th 2014 my life changed. I lost someone special to me in a big way and fear was put in my heart. This person was still around but not actually close to me anymore and I had to learn to be someone without them and be a great dad at the same time. The very next day I got a message telling me a time and place and to show up early that my life was going to change. February 17th Sako Yakinian and No Limit Personal Training began to change my life. My motivation was to look good, feel good, make my heart and soul feel whole again and be able to actually play with my daughter. I wanted someone to look at me and think I was attractive and I wanted to look at myself and think I was awesome. When I started I was mentally and physically beaten to the ground but wasn’t willing to throw in the towel just yet. No Limit heard my plea for help and we got started on building a new and bright future for me.

“No limit is unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life”
No limit is unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life. You walk in and everyone knows you, everyone pushes you, and everyone believes in you. On days that I would show up and I wasn’t feeling it, Lisa kicked my butt and pushed me harder while Nareg and Sako told me to dig deep. After two weeks, this new family of mine had me asking for more, they had me believing in myself and that any goal is possible. I wanted to weigh 195 and they were going to help me get there. I lost a job, I lost a family, I lost my heart and soul but my No limit family never gave up on me. What you get from going here is a group of people who are willing to invest time and effort in to you and give you the tools to feel the way you want to feel, look the way you want to look, and be the man or woman you truly desire to be. When multiple things in life go wrong they call it a snowball effect. When you join No Limit you get what I like to call the greatness effect. Your body starts the transform, you mind begins to expand, your confidence rises, opportunity comes knocking, and the sun begins to rise everyday just the way you want it too.
” I lost a job, I lost a family, I lost my heart and soul but my No limit family never gave up on me.”
I weighed 235 pounds and could barely jog half a mile without wanting to pass out and my bench press was about 135 6 times. I was a fat pathetic person. Today, Nearly 4 months later I am weighing 194, I bench press 175 8 times, I can run almost 5 miles before I have to quit, and I can rack the chest press machine @ 220 for 2 full reps of ten! My work isn’t done yet, but because of this family I am more motivated and working even harder than ever.
