My name is Vicki Kaiser. I’ve been at No Limit now for nearly five years. I’ve been doing group training for 13 years, but I’ve been at No Limit for five.
My biggest accomplishment since I’ve been here is getting stronger. As we get older you start to find weak spots that you didn’t know existed, and I’ve been able to run again. When I started I couldn’t do deep knee squats all those years ago. And I remember the trainer said, “If you keep at it, you will eventually get stronger “ & “you can do it.” And I did. Now, I can do deep knee squats and hold them.
I think the most impressive part that I see is that I’m stronger all over and can keep moving. My experience at No Limit has been one of great tolerance by the instructors. I seem to be the poster child for aging. In the five years I’ve been here I’ve had a serious bout with sciatica, which I kept exercising through, got through. The instructors were great in helping me adjust my activities. And then not long after that I turned around and I broke my arm. And I had a cast from here to here. I had that for three months and I kept exercising and they just simply adjusted the activities again. It was wonderful. We had a new trainer the other day, and he was, Lisa was helping him, and I heard her say okay, for Vicki we do this. That means so much. It keeps me going. So my experience has been so powerful, so encouraging, and I think it’s the response of the trainers that keeps me going. Because it would be very easy to walk away with two casts on my arm.
